A New Era in the Second-Hand Housing Market: The “Value Information Center” is Coming Against Price Manipulation! An important step is being taken with state support in order to prevent the price confusion experienced in the second-hand housing market and to ensure that citizens make more informed decisions in the purchase and sale process. While the Ministry of Commerce, advertisement sites and real estate offices are under stricter supervision, The Ministry of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change has rolled up its sleeves for a system that will cover 81 provinces: the Value Information Center. Thanks to this system, citizens will be able to easily access up-to-date and accurate value information appropriate to market conditions before purchasing real estate. Thus, it will be prevented from being a victim by paying over the value. Minister Murat Kurum explained the details of the system with the following words: “Now our citizen will be able to access every information about an investment he will make from this system. He will see the real market value of the real estate and compare it with other real estate in his neighborhood and on his street. It will be an artificial intelligence-supported system that can analyze housing supply and demand district by district, neighborhood by neighborhood. Our citizen will be able to learn from this system in detail what the investment he will make will bring, the cost, sales price estimates.” This digital infrastructure supported by artificial intelligence will initiate a major transformation in the sector by ensuring that both investors and those who want to become homeowners have access to secure and transparent information.
