Attention Land Owners! State Will Provide Annual Rental Income
As CEESS Global, we closely follow the important developments in the agriculture and real estate sectors and share them with you. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is implementing a new practice to bring idle agricultural land back into the economy. This innovation will provide annual rental income to landowners and at the same time increase Turkey's agricultural production.

New Era in Agricultural Production
The pandemic has once again demonstrated how vital food production and self-sufficiency are in the world. Turkey was once among the countries that were self-sufficient in agricultural production. However, as a result of the decreasing importance given to agriculture and wrong policies, many agricultural products started to be imported from abroad. In recent years, new practices implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry have started to yield positive results. However, in order to reach the targeted level of production, unused agricultural lands need to be re-evaluated.

Idle Lands to be Recovered for the Economy
Across Turkey, agricultural lands that are inherited or unused for various reasons will be identified by the state to be brought into the economy. The leasing of these lands will be carried out through the state and landowners will have the opportunity to earn a significant income. The aim is both to bring empty lands into agricultural production and to generate income for landowners.

The state will carry out the leasing process
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will identify idle arable land and start the leasing process. The state will mediate between the people who want to lease and the land owners. A valuation will be made for the land and the rental price will be determined and the subsidies to be provided by the state will be taken into account in this price. Landowners will receive the determined rental fee in full and will earn an annual income.

Rental Income will be given to Landowners
The state will not receive any share of the rental income generated during this leasing process. By renting out their land, landowners will both generate income and ensure the maintenance and use of their land. Starting in 2025, this practice will open an important door of profit for landowners, while making a great contribution to Turkey's agricultural production.
