A change was made in the Electronic Listing Verification System (EİDS), which will become mandatory for all real estate advertisements as of the new year◾ Semih Sarıalioğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CEESS Global, said, “The authorization verification application, which is the second phase of the Electronic Listing Verification System (EİDS), was commissioned on September 15, 2024. In fact, tests were carried out in all types of advertisements in Istanbul and Trabzon provinces. As a result of the feedback received from the Ministry's advertisement platforms and sector representatives, it was decided that the EİDS advertisement authorization verification process would be activated only for rental real estate advertisements as of January 1, 2025, and that advertisements for sale real estate can be advertised without verification even if the EİDS inquiry result is negative until a second instruction.”

Stating that with the implementation of the application in rental real estate, it will be possible to authorize only real estate businesses with authorization certificates, Sarıalioğlu said, “EİDS control will be mandatory in rental advertisements to be entered after January 1, 2025. The advertisements of rental immovable properties that are not allowed to be advertised through E-Government will not be able to take place on platforms other than exceptions. Immovable properties owned by foreigners are within the scope of the exception. The owner of the immovable property will be able to enter a rental advertisement for an immovable property belonging to himself, his first and second degree blood relatives or his spouse. The verified advertisements will include a logo indicating that the authorization has been verified from EİDS.”
