Press Breakfast Organized to Promote the Gastronomy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
A special press breakfast organized by GTD to promote the gastronomy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was hosted by CEESS Global and Ceyhun Tunalı & Sons at Efendy Restaurant owned by Somer Sivrioğlu on 5 December 2024. The event was an important organization aiming to promote the cultural and gastronomic richness of the TRNC in the international arena.
The event was attended by Belma Satır, one of the founders of the AK Party, 24th Term Deputy and Member of the Constitutional Commission, AK Party Deputy Nilhan Ayan, 27th Term Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Öz Öz Özyeğin, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism. Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Özgül Özkan Yavuz, Former Minister of Tourism Bülent Akarcalı, Acting Undersecretary to the TRNC Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture Serhan Aktunç, TRNC Istanbul Consul General Fatma Demir, former TURSAB President Başaran Ulusoy, famous Historian Author Sema Soykan, nutritionist Prof. Dr. Oğuz Özyaral, President of the Gastronomy Tourism Association of Turkey (GTD) Gürkan Boztepe.
Semih Sarıalioğlu, Chairman of the Real Estate Committee of the Gastronomy Tourism Association of Turkey and CEESS Global, and Ceyhun Tunalı, GTD's TRNC Representative and Owner of Ceyhun Tunalı & Sons, invited the participants to visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in order to further strengthen cultural and commercial relations with the “Baby Motherland Cyprus”.
TRNC Gastronomy Introduced to Guests
During the event, TRNC's unique gastronomic products were offered to the guests. Presentations of halloumi cheese and special cheese varieties attracted great interest. At the end of the event, halloumi cheese, which has become the symbol of the TRNC, and special cheese boards were presented to the guests.
In this event organized exclusively for members of the press and GTD members, it was aimed to draw attention to the rich gastronomic culture of TRNC and to strengthen the ties between Turkey and TRNC through gastronomy.
