CEESS Global Chairman Semih Sarıalioğlu attended the 41st Liberation Anniversary of Cyprus

A meaningful night in Istanbul celebrated the 41st Independence Anniversary of Cyprus with enthusiasm and pride. CEESS Global Chairman Semih Sarıalioğlu also attended the event. Coming together with our veterans, soldiers and the heroes of the Cyprus struggle, Mr. Sarıalioğlu emphasized the historical, strategic and spiritual importance of Cyprus for Turkey and stated that this special night once again reminded the value of the struggle for independence.

Expressing his gratitude to all the heroes who contributed to Cyprus' struggle for independence, Sarıalioğlu made the following statements: “Cyprus is not just an island for Turkey; it is an indispensable value for us in historical and spiritual terms. Today, it is a great honor for us to commemorate our heroes who sacrificed their lives for these lands and to protect their trust.”

The Consul General of Cyprus Ms. Fatma Demirel and her spouse, Cyprus Minister of Health Mr. Hakan Dinçyürek, Governor Davut Gül and many other distinguished participants also attended the event. The participants commemorated the late Rauf Denktaş, the leader of the Cyprus struggle, and emphasized the importance of Turkey's struggle in Cyprus.
During the night, the contributions of the Republic of Turkey in Cyprus and the sacrifices of our veterans were emphasized, while at the same time thanking all participants who attended this important celebration. As CEESS Global, Sarıalioğlu underlined that these important moments of the country's history should always be remembered and commemorated, and conveyed his wishes for “many more anniversaries”.
