Title Deed Fees May Triple in 2026: Deadline is December 31st
A new regulation passed by the Turkish Parliament allows property tax values to increase up to three times in 2026. Since title deed fees are calculated based on these values, property owners who do not complete their title deed transfer by year-end may face triple fees.
Example:
A property with a tax value of 3 million TL in 2025 may reach 9 million TL in 2026. As a result, today’s 120,000 TL title deed fee could rise to 360,000 TL.
Who Is Affected?

Buyers who have not yet completed the title deed transfer

Those who signed a notary sales contract but postponed the tapu process

Buyers who received delivery from a developer but delayed the title deed registration
