What is Property Tax?
Property tax is a tax calculated according to the value of immovable properties and collected by municipalities. Immovable properties subject to tax are divided into different categories such as residence, workplace, land and land.

Property Tax Payment Dates
Property tax can be paid in two installments per year:
1st installment: March, April, May
2nd installment: In November

Payments can be made at the cash desks of the municipalities, on their websites or through contracted banks.

Important Points in Property Tax Calculation
The tax is calculated on the fair market value of the immovable property.
For newly purchased immovable properties, tax liability starts after the title deed registration.
There are special exemptions for pensioners, relatives of martyrs and disabled individuals who are within the scope of tax exemption.
